Jet-lag mouse: builds on hamster viagra

A new study about jet-lagged mice builds on the Ig Nobel Prize-winning discovery that Viagra aids jetlag recovery in hamsters.

The new study is “Adrenal glucocorticoids have a key role in circadian resynchronization in a mouse model of jet lag,” Silke Kiessling, Gregor Eichele and Henrik Oster, Journal of Clinical Investigation, published June 23, 2010. The authors are at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, Göttingen, Germany. (Thanks to investigator Bora Zivkovic for bringing it to our attention.)
