A look back at herring farts & swordswallowing in Denmark

This newly posted TV report looks at one stop on the 2009 Ig Nobel tour of Denmark. This particular event was at Syddansk Universitet, Odense, Denmark, April 23, 2009. It featured Ig Nobel Prize winners Magnus Whalberg (herrings communicate by farting); Dan Meyer (sword swallowing and its side effects) and Bart Knols (malaria mosquitoes are attracted to the smells of both Limburger cheese and human feet), as well as Ig Nobel organizer Marc Abrahams. The sound at the very end is a now-historic Swedish recording of a herring fart.
