Beethoven’s tune “Für Elise” will feature in act 1 of “The Big Bank Opera“, which premieres as part of the Ig Nobel Prize ceremony on October 1. Here, in the meantime, is a very different performance of the tune, cobbled of sounds from a loon, two owls, cat, wood stork and cuckoo. Switchzoo assembled it. (The performance at the Ig Nobel ceremony will feature Maria Ferrante, Ben Sears, Branden Grimmett, and lots of words — but no loons, owls, cat, wood storks or cuckoos.)
