Giant herring news & implications
The headline in the Christian Science Monitor, similar to headlines elsewhere, reads: “Enormous 12-foot giant herring found off coast of Sweden“. The news is of special interest to Swedish scientists Magnus Wahlberg and Hakan Westerberg, who shared a 2004 Ig Nobel Prize with another team for showing that herrings apparently communicate by farting.
