“Since I learned about its existence from your esteemed member, Kristina Collins, PhD in the science of sciency things involving atmosphere, radio waves and human social hobbies, at the impressionable age of 37 years, I dreamt of becoming a member. It took me more than a year, however, to remember to apply. I’m a researcher in communications theory, and happen to maintain a larger larger software framework used for wireless signal research. My scientific history however has taken me from diagnosis of human knees with processing of acceleration signals, through theory of signal processing frameworks to minor contribution to figuring out how honeybees’ orientation is affected by wifi access point. When I’m not cooperating with climate and rocket scientists on saving the world by communicating with, on, for, and around satellites, I try to get around European conferences and foster software-defined radio communities in radioastronomy, satellite communications, among university teachers and enthusiasts. I hold a Bachelor and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering & Information Technology from KIT, Karlsruhe.
