TICKETS to attend the 34th First annual Ig Nobel Prize ceremony in person, if any are still available, are available at https://www.tickettailor.com/events/improbableresearch/1331227
Seating is limited. The lecture hall (MIT building 10, room 250) has only about 400 seats, many of which will be occupied by ceremony participants. There are two kinds of tickets:
- Standard tickets: $75
- Ig Glorious tickets: $200 (We fund the ceremony mainly through ticket revenues. We are offering a few special “Ig Glorious” tickets, for persons who want to be especially supportive.)
A few more tickets, maybe perhaps
We are holding an additional few tickets in reserve, for all the usual reasons. A few days before the ceremony, if any are left, we will put those on sale.
The Ceremony
If you are unable to get a ticket to attend in person, you can watch the live webcast (for free!). Of course it’s most fun to be there, in the lecture hall at MIT, amidst the paper airplanes, the Ig Nobel Prize winners, the opera singers, eight-year-old timekeeper Miss Sweetie Poo, and all the other delightfully improbable people and whatnot.
The 34th First annual Ig Nobel Prize ceremony will take place on Thursday, September 12th, starting at 6:00pm Eastern US time.
