Innovative traffic jam research in Nairobi

We seldom receive requests for research funding, which works out well because we have no funding to give. A letter arrived this week that is so compelling we present it here, with the hope that someone will help out:

Subject: Research on ECONOMIC IMPORTANCE OF TRAFFIC JAMS IN KENYA

Hi,

I follow the Ig Nobel Prize winners religiously they make me really laugh but also some of the things are so practical.

Now the city of NAIROBI has embarked on a major infrastructural revolution building roads to decogest the city with vehicles moving faster — when these happens it will cause serious unemployment and loss of bussiness for hawkers who rely on the jams to sell their wares to motorists. There are over three thousand in NAIROBI alone.

A research on how they will be impacted and alternertive means of how jams can be created after the the highways are completed will serve these country very well.

I would wish to undertake these research — can improbable research be able to fund or where can I channel my proposal.

Cheers n have a good day as I await to hear from you
