Monday, March 29th 2010, at 19.50h I noticed a mute swan (Cygnus olor) that vigorously attacked a floating large dead carp (Cyprinus carpio) in the canal right in front of the OBA, the Amsterdam Public Library. I did not see any physical contact between the swan and the fish, but I could only watch the scene for five minutes (and took one picture with my phone). Did anybody see how this swan – dead fish encounter ended?
