Geoffrey Miller, lead investigator on the Ig Nobel Prize-winning study about whether lapdancers earn higher tips when they are ovulating, has a new book:
“Spent: Sex, Evolution, and Consumer Behavior” by Geoffrey Miller. Viking, $26.95, 374 pages.
The publisher says, alluding not only to lapdance customers: “Spent is a bold and revelatory book that illuminates the unseen logic behind the chaos of consumerism and suggests new ways we can become happier consumers and more responsible citizens.”
