Paper philosophers

PaperFolding.jpegSome philosophers enjoy working on paper. Graham J. Rees of Sheffield University, for example, recently published this study:

“On the Maximum Number of Folds of a Piece of Paper,” Philosophical Magazine Letters, vol. 86, no. 1, 2006, pp. 3-4.

(Thanks to Investigator Klaus Schr?ter for bringing this to our attention, and to Chris McManus for alerting us when a copy of the study was placed online.)

UPDATE later the same day: Investigator Bill Hooker writes:

I write to point out prior work by Ms Britney Gallivan, as described by the Historical Society of Pomona Valley for the eminently reasonable price of $6.00. (See also this and this.)
