Investigator Mike Palmer writes:
I was recently approached by a female coworker, who had purchased a new "ionic" hair dryer, and wanted to know how it worked. I began to explain heat and evaporation, but she was more interested in the "ionic" part. I had no idea, and after researching the topic on the web, I still have no idea, but at least now I’m sure that nobody else does either.
However, I did find a wonderful paper: "Is Your New Hi-Tech Hair Dryer Depressing You?" by researcher Dr. Howard Rosenthal. Dr. Rosenthal is identified as HairBoutique.com’s official "mental health hair expert". The paper includes a photo of Dr. Rosenthal (who has lots of hair), and also has helpful instructions for ordering his many books and tapes.
Dr. Rosenthal has written a second paper titled, "Eliminate Stress For A Happy, Healthy Head of Hair."
In the second paper, Dr. Rosenthal is identified as HairBoutique.com’s official "hair psychologist." It isn’t clear whether these are concurrent titles or whether one of them is a former title.
