In this TV news report, a flat cardboard replica of a bear stars in re-enactments of a black bear sighting. Despite its alarming tone, the report seems to explain that the bear itself was (1) barely seen and (2) likely far from dangerous. The video, said to be from TV station WJW Fox-8 in Cleveland, appears to be real —”real” in the sense that it was prepared and broadcast as a meaningful, serious news report. (Disclaimer: If this is concocted, it’s the product of some unusually subtle comedians.)
