This week’s Un-namable Scientist of the Month is a scientist who cannot be named, or at least should not be named. Her promotional web site, http://www.anndeweesallen.com, features a prominent warning [reproduced below, but redacted to conform with the scientist’s instructions]. The warning says “Dr. —–‘s name is a Federally Registered Trademark. It is illegal to use the name (Dr. ——) on any web site or document without prior written permission.
The US Patent & Trademark office does use the scientist’s name in listing the registration (#76116199) for the trademark.
