The movement of the Ig Nobel Prize ceremony to Europe is creating opportunities for people to help with the theatrical, technical, and people aspects of creating the magic.
A few hours ago we put a little notice on Linked-In, for anyone who might like to volunteer for the ceremony (which will happen in Zurich, Switzerland in early September). That led to more response than we had quite dreamed for, as you can see in (the image, above, of) a subsequent notice from LinkedIn. Our little notice about Zurich says:
VOLUNTEER TO HELP AT THE IG NOBEL PRIZE CEREMONY: After 35 years in the USA, the ceremony is moving to Europe. Anyone who would like to volunteer to help at the 36th First Annual Ig Nobel Prize Ceremony (in Zurich in September) can meet with ceremony organizers Marc Abrahams and Mirko Bischofberger, to explore the possibilities. We’ll meet up on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:00 am – noon — at ORBIZ Josef, Josefstrasse 214a, 8005, Zürich, SWITZERLAND.
BOSTON AREA PEOPLE PLEASE NOTE: We will ALSO have a big celebration event in Boston, three weeks AFTER the ceremony happens in Zurich. If you would like to volunteer to help at that event, please get in touch with us.
