RESEARCH QUESTION--
White House Height Requirement
An inquiry into human anatomy
Breaking news --an AIR Exclusive
JANUARY 18, 2001 -- A new six-foot height requirement will go into effect for ushers at the White House, AIR correspondent Earle Spamer has just learned in an exclusive interview with a high-placed, moderate statured White House source.
White House ushers are military officers. Currently there is no special usher height requirement, and most or all ushers are shorter than six feet. It is expected that they will be either stretched or replaced when the new President takes office on January 20th.
We would be interested in hearing from any scientist who knows the anatomical, physiological, and/or psychological reasons for this new height requirement.
