Reinhardt Adolfo Fuck is a geologist at Universidade de Brasília's Instituto de Geociências, in Brasília .

In 1973, Professor Fuck won the Martelo de Prata prize awarded by the Sociedade Brasileira de Geologia. He has several specialties, including pre-Cambrian geology, geotectonics, and folded belts.

According to his official biography:

In recent years, with M. Pimentel, he has been investigating the juvenile crust of western Goiás, which is the result of destruction of a vast ocean that, approximately 900 million years ago, separated continental areas represented today by the ancient terrains of the Amazon region, Minas Gerais and Bahia.

Professor Fuck is the author of numerous research papers, including the influential:
