Official announcement of the Official Watch Parties

Soon will come the day of the 36th First Annual Ig Nobel Prize Ceremony, in Zurich, Switzerland. If you can’t make it there, do join one of the eight Official Watch Parties that we – here and now – officially announce and endorse:

All Official Watch Parties are Thursday September 3 and they will be watching the live stream of the Ig Nobel Prize Ceremony. Most parties start around 18:00 CET, often with talks by local scientists or even local Ig Nobel winners. Do check program and time schedules. (The ceremony itself begins at 19:00 CET.) The Official Watch Parties are free, but you probably need to register.

Or… Have Your Own Un-Official Party!

If you can’t get to the ceremony itself, and can’t get to one of the Official Watch Parties, you are still in luck.

Watch by yourself, or gather friends informally.

Informal watch parties are of many kinds (one examples: the Unruly Ig Nobel Watch Party in India, the many watch parties in Flanders). If you want to be somewhat grand about it, download a guide for organizing a Watch Party.
