The Vienna Science Ball announces:
The 11th Vienna Ball of Sciences, to be held on January 24, 2026, at Vienna City Hall, was virtually sold out after just five days. As a special Christmas present, the organizing committee is releasing a final batch of 150 tickets in the online shop. Participation in the accompanying program of events is still possible.

For his perfect recipe for Cacio e Pepe pasta sauce, physicist Fabrizio Olmeida from the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA), along with his colleagues, was awarded the Ig Nobel Prize in 2025. At the Science Ball, Olmeida will cook up a storm together with the head chef of the legendary pasta manufacturer Garofalo, near Naples, and reveal the secret to the perfect sauce. The audience is cordially invited to taste the result of this experiment….
