If you’ve been paying attention to the news the past few weeks, you know that some of the newly installed high government officials in the USA are trying to destroy much of the country’s scientific activity and community. That statement sounds bizarre — and the reality of it is even more bizarre.
On Friday, March 7, 2025, scientists and many other people will gather — in cities across the USA — for public protests against the destruction. These gatherings are called Stand Up for Science.
We urge you to take part, and to bring friends, neighbors, and colleagues.
Some of us Improbable Research / Ig Nobel people will be playing small roles in the Stand Up for Science event in Boston.
