We’ve gotten a little — just a little — more info about the mysterious journals publisher. (See the December 22, 2009 post for the original story.)
We got in touch with David Dunning and Justin Kruger, whose study “Unskilled and Unaware…”, was honored with an Ig Nobel Prize, way back in the year 2000. That study is one of the best-known papers published in the field of psychology during the past decade. Yet it re-appeared, as if it were a newly-written study, in Scientific Research Publishing‘s new journal Psychology. All the other papers in that journal, too, were old — yet presented as if they were new.
David Dunning told us: “Thanks for the heads up. Didn’t know about the journal at all.”
