Debating science and humour, in Paris

parisscienceThe organizers call it ‘an eclectic, international and enriching event’. It’s the international science film festival PARISCIENCE, held at the National Museum of Natural History, Jardin des Plantes in Paris from 7 to 11 October 2009.

In a special session, Improbable Research European Bureau Chief Kees Moeliker (the duck guy) will  debate the question ‘Is science a laughing matter?’ with Jean-Pierre Luminet, Vincent Gaullier, Guillaume Lecointre and Bruno Léandri.

When and where:
Saturday, October 10th, 17:00h.
Museum national d’Histoire naturelle, Jardin des Plantes, Room 1 / Auditorium.

General public welcome, but, says the web site,  ‘Reservations are now closed for this session. Free seats will be reallocated to people on site’ (Translation: come early, and grab a chair).
