Dead Duck Day was covered nationwide in the Netherlands in both the webedition and the printed pages of De Telegraaf newspaper. Their report ‘Dramatic death of duck commemorated‘ evoked a total of 142 reactions from readers, ranging from ‘fell off my chair laughing’, to ‘End my subsription immediately’ to ‘arrest the guy [thats me!] to sentence him to 120 hours of forced labour’.
