The dog on the moon

Be there a dog on the moon? Poets wonder. Which dog, they further muse, would that be? The abstract one with the waggly tail? And which moon of which planet — Dione of Saturn?

(Thanks to investigator Ian Davis for suggesting this bit of Saturnine doggerel.)

NOTE: The dog in this moon is in the eye of the beholder. However, some beholders may hold that this moon is dog-free.
