One in four French believe Da Vinci Code based on fact: survey Nearly a quarter of French adults believe that the novel The Da Vinci Code is based on facts surrounding the life of Jesus Christ, according to a survey published on Tuesday.
So says a May 9, 2006 AFP news report on Physorg.com.
It’s an instance of a more general rule:
In most public opinion surveys, one in four people believe whatever the other three don’t.
NOTE: No public opinion poll has yet measured what percentage of the population believes that dogs react strongly to photographs of Da Vinci’s painting The Mona Lisa, but the rule-of-thumb would let you make a strong prediction.
