The Prof and his semi-secret admirer

Some folks admire the super-polymath Professor Mohamed El Naschie. Some gaze from afar in wonder. But at least one person devotes considerable energy to blogging, in a rather unfriendly manner, about the professor.

Professor El Naschie, unbothered, describes himself with simple modesty:

He is the principle advisor of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KACST – Riyadh) since many years…. His research interests include: Stability, Bifurcation, Atomic-engineering, Nonlinear Dynamics, Chaos, Fractals, High Energy Particle Physics, Quantum Mechanics and E-infinity theory. He is editor-in-chief and associate editor of numerous learned journals.

What a nice treat to wake up and find your article first thing in the morning. Of course I’m going to write a blog post about it.

There’s a lot not to like about “Professor” El Naschie. Fake claims of academic rank, bogus claims of affiliation with Cambridge, citations of a nonexistant paper jointly written by him and a Nobel Laureate…

He’s even photoshopped an intimate scene of himself with three Nobel Laureates. It’s on his Web site (the one you have pictured) and he, or his sockpuppets, use it to make him appear to be a serious researcher.

He’s also a super-rich hyperenlawyered bully who sues publications that criticize him. So far he hasn’t sued me.

    Sincerely,

Jason of the El Naschie Watch blog
