Brian Sawyer joins LFHCfS
Rock star Brian Sawyer (the second rock star Brian to join the club) has joined the Luxuriant Flowing Hair Club for Scientists. Liz Wise, who nominated him, says:
My boyfriend Brian began growing his hair out in high school, which is where he also developed a love of physics.? He always keeps his hair pulled back while in the lab. The photo shows him playing lead guitar in the metal band, Cryogen.
In the lab he uses Stark deceleration to trap cold OH molecules for possible quantum applications. (I’m not the best at explaining this, please see credentials.) He currently has his masters in molecular physics and is working toward his PhD. He’s very hard working and HOT!
