Economics Lesson: House-halving
Economists develop theories that, in theory, describe how people behave with each other. At least occasionally, someone puts an economics theory directly into action. A September 25, 2007 report by TV station NBC 11 in San Jose, California, gives an example:
CINCINNATI, Ohio — A Cincinnati man is accused of sawing his entire house in half after a title dispute with the homebuilders.
(Thanks to investigator Elaine Allen for bringing this to our attention.)
