Francesco Mercuri joins the LFHCfS
Francesco Mercuri has joined the Luxuriant Flowing Hair Club for Scientists. He says:
With the hope of worthily representing Italy.
His main research interests focus on theoretical investigations on complex systems using computational chemistry methods. These methods include Hartree-Fock (HF) and post Hartree-Fock, like configuration interaction (CI), many-body perturbation theory, like Moeller-Plesset (MP), density functional theory (DFT) as well as semiempirical methods, like extended-Hueckel (eH). Moreover, his interests concern molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, in particular ab-initio molecular dynamics (Car-Parrinello) and force-field based molecular dynamics as well as hybrid quantum mechanics – molecular mechanics (QM/MM) methods.
